Kazakhstan reports gas supplies unaffected by Russian pipeline rupture

A pipeline rupture in Russia's Penza region did not disrupt deliveries to Kazakhstan or transit to Uzbekistan, Kazakh Energy Ministry spokesperson Asel Serikpayeva said.
Russian gas is reaching Kazakhstan under existing contracts and customer requests, while transit to Uzbekistan continues at planned volumes, Serikpayeva said. The ministry reported no deviations in the operation of Kazakhstan's gas transmission system.
Gazprom had not requested changes to delivery schedules through dispatch channels. The ministry also said the incident was not affecting gas supplies to consumers in Kazakhstan.
The accident occurred on October 13 on the Petrovsk–Yelets trunk pipeline in Penza region's Belinsky district. Emergency authorities received a report of a high-pressure rupture in the village of Volchkovo at about 11 a.m. Moscow time.
Gazprom Transgaz Saratov said it isolated the damaged section and redirected supplies along alternative routes while preparing repairs. Kazakhstan's statement confirms that cross-border flows continued, but does not establish that repair work has been completed.
