Tula region proposes music tourism route and creative-industry support hub

Governor Dmitry Milyayev put forward the proposals during an October 13 session on developing the region’s music industry.
The session brought together representatives of music, culture, tourism and creative businesses, alongside equipment manufacturers. Participants drew up proposals on infrastructure, skills and educational projects needed to support the industry.
Milyayev proposed developing a music tourism route using existing facilities associated with the Tourism and Hospitality national project. Regional broadcaster First Tula reported that possible elements include visits to instrument and stage-equipment manufacturers, local folk traditions and music festivals. Those are prospective components, rather than an operating itinerary.
The session also proposed a single creative-industry support centre. The governor said a one-stop arrangement could be introduced through existing institutions, without necessarily creating a new organisation.
Other proposals included reviewing the region’s creative education system and organising specialist music programmes at children’s holiday camps. Milyayev said the review should establish how pupils see their professional prospects and what support they need.
The regional government cited existing arts colleges, professional audio-equipment production and an industrial creative cluster with a recording studio and concert venue. The governor’s stated aim is to help musicians earn stable income from their work and encourage young specialists to remain in the region. The announcement gives no launch date or budget for the proposed route or centre.
