Police hunt suspect after three killed at Eshowe grocery store

Three people were killed in a shooting at a grocery store in Eshowe, in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, on October 10. Police were searching for the suspect.

Police say the man attended an internal disciplinary hearing at the grocery store. Reports describe him as a former employee. He allegedly produced a firearm and shot three people who were in the room.

Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said the three were declared dead at the scene. Police were hunting for the suspect when SABC News published its report. The account attributes the shooting to the man, but does not establish his guilt through a court finding.
