Leningrad region begins inspections of drone-damaged homes
An interdepartmental commission has begun inspecting homes damaged in drone attacks in Russia's Leningrad region. Its findings will support decisions on funding repairs, the regional government said.
Specialists assessed damage in Gatchina on the morning of October 19. Requests also came from Sverdlovskoye in Vsevolozhsky district and Gostilitskoye and Nizinskoye in Lomonosovsky district, Deputy Governor Yevgeny Baranovsky said.
Residents should contact their municipal administration, which will request an inspection. The commission will then prepare findings on the damage and assistance needed.
Governor Alexander Drozdenko previously promised compensation from regional reserve funds for people who lost property. In an October 18 statement, he said 145 drones had been intercepted over the region overnight.
