Lightning damaged the nose of an IndiGo aircraft flying from Patna to Lucknow. The pilots landed safely, and all 104 passengers and six crew members were unharmed, the Times of India reported.

The strike occurred on Wednesday as the plane approached Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. The Times of India reported that the aircraft’s nose radome, which protects its weather radar, was damaged. The pilots did not know the extent of the damage during the flight but landed safely.

The flight arrived in Lucknow eight minutes ahead of schedule. The New Indian Express also reported damage to the nose section and said all passengers and crew members on board were unharmed. Reports did not give details about what caused the lightning strike or the aircraft’s subsequent service status.
