Liquid Swords founder Christofer Sundberg announced that the studio is closing. He said Samson: A Tyndalston Story's stronger performance on consoles was not enough to save the company.

Sundberg said discussions were under way about continued support for the game and praised the team's work.

The developer was involved in creating Just Cause and Mad Max. Liquid Swords released Samson on PC on April 8, 2026, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions.

The game follows a criminal returning to Tyndalston and trying to repay dangerous creditors. Its action combines hand-to-hand fighting with car chases.
