Man critically injured in alleged stabbing in Brisbane

Police are investigating an assault in Wishart, in Brisbane’s south, after a man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

Initial police inquiries suggest the man was stabbed at a home on Barcelona Street shortly before 4am on Saturday, October 10. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the injured man was in his thirties. He was taken to hospital after the attack.

A second man, who knows the injured man, is assisting officers with their inquiries. Police have not announced any charges in connection with the incident.

Investigators want to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault, noticed suspicious activity nearby or has relevant footage. Information can be provided through Policelink or anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Police said there was no threat to the community as their investigation continued.
