Man reported to police in Naples after phone theft and private video post

Police found Anna Lou Castoldi’s phone with a man at a Naples railway station after a report that a private video had been posted without her consent, ANSA and Italian outlets reported.

Castoldi, 25, the daughter of actor Asia Argento and musician Morgan, reported that her bag and phone had been stolen after an argument with an acquaintance. ANSA reported that Argento noticed a post on Instagram and could not reach her daughter, then contacted police.

Railway police tracked the phone and found the man with the bag at a Naples station. Italian outlets said officers first took him to hospital for medical care. He was later reported to police on suspicion of theft, distributing an intimate video without consent and unauthorized access to a computer system. These are media reports of alleged offenses, not a court finding.

ANSA said the theft was believed to have happened at accommodation in Licola, north of Naples. Police believe the video was posted while the man was traveling into the city after the dispute. La Repubblica reported that the video was quickly removed from social media. Its contents are not being republished.
