Manzambi to miss Aston Villa's Viking match through injury

Aston Villa midfielder Johan Manzambi will miss the Champions League match against Viking through injury, manager Unai Emery said.

The midfielder picked up the injury in Villa's 1-0 win over Newcastle. Emery described the problem as minor but ruled Manzambi out of the next match.

The league-phase match on Matchday 3 is scheduled for October 21. The Swiss midfielder joined Aston Villa from Freiburg in 2026.
