Yandex plans Alice AI update in the coming weeks

Yandex plans to update Alice AI in the next few weeks and is maintaining its artificial intelligence development plans, Dmitry Masyuk, head of the company's search and AI business group, told RBC.

The app's daily active audience increased by 14% compared with the previous month, Masyuk said. Yandex intends to accelerate the introduction of AI into its consumer and business services.

His comments came as the company worked to restore infrastructure following attacks on its data centres. Yandex previously said it was developing distributed backup capacity, including at independent sites.
