Medical evacuation being prepared for Russian tourist in coma in Antalya

A medical evacuation to Russia is being prepared for a Russian tourist who fell into a coma while on holiday in Antalya, the Russian consulate told RIA Novosti on 19 October.

The woman’s relatives approached the consulate for assistance. Diplomats are in contact with her family, the insurer and the medical facility treating her.

According to information available to the consulate, the insurer is contributing to treatment costs under the policy. The medical transfer to Russia remains in preparation.
