Mikhail Leus forecasts another warm spell in Moscow early next week

Moscow's temperature could rise 5–8 degrees above the seasonal norm early next week, Phobos forecaster Mikhail Leus said on October 10.
He forecast another influx of Atlantic warmth that could create conditions for new daily temperature records. This is an outlook, rather than confirmation that new records have already been set.
Before the warm spell, central regions of European Russia were expected to experience cooler weather on October 10–11. Leus described temperatures as close to normal, with local rain and gusty winds making conditions less comfortable.
Moscow's main VDNKh weather station reached 18.1°C on October 9. Leus said it was the warmest day since the start of the month and that such a temperature had not been recorded in the capital on that date since 1974.
The Atlantic air mass also brought daily records to other cities. Leus reported 21.2°C in Tula, 21.9°C in Tambov and 24.9°C in Luhansk.
