Moscow court gives suspended sentence over glass thrown at concertgoer

A Moscow court imposed a three-year suspended prison sentence on a woman after a confrontation at a Marsel concert, RIA Novosti reported on October 10, citing court documents.
The injured man testified that he attended with his wife and his sister's family. He recorded the performance and his group with a GoPro before moving towards the bar, where the camera ended up pointing at a woman at close range in the crowd.
According to the case documents, the woman pushed him, struck his shoulder with a phone and threw a drinking glass at his head. Glass fragments injured his head, and he cut his hand while checking the bleeding wound. An ambulance took him to hospital, where he received stitches.
The case concerned intentional infliction of moderately serious bodily harm. The woman denied guilt and argued that the man had provoked the confrontation.
The court set a three-year probation period and ordered compensation for the injured man. The amount was not disclosed in the cited documents.
