Mikhail Zvinchuk and Rybar team return to Moscow
Rybar founder Mikhail Zvinchuk has returned to Russia after being detained and released in Montenegro. His wife Valeria and three colleagues travelled back with him.
RIA Novosti reported that an Air Serbia flight from Belgrade landed in Moscow at about 02:05 Moscow time on October 11. Fontanka and Current Time also reported the group's return. Russia's Foreign Ministry had previously confirmed their release, with diplomats helping arrange their departure.
The group was detained on October 9 in the Montenegrin town of Risan. Zvinchuk linked the detention to a request to film at Cetinje Monastery. That account is his explanation. The Russian embassy asked Montenegro's authorities to clarify the grounds for detaining the Russian citizens.
