Montenegrin media report detention of Rybar founder and his wife

Broadcaster RTCG and newspaper Vijesti reported a police and national security agency operation in Risan on October 9. They said Rybar founder Mikhail Zvinchuk and Valeria Zvinchuk were among those detained.
Russian blogger Mikhail Zvinchuk, creator of the Rybar Telegram channel, and his wife Valeria were detained in Montenegro. National broadcaster RTCG and newspaper Vijesti reported this on October 9. According to the outlets, police and the National Security Agency carried out the operation in the town of Risan. Three other people were detained with the couple.
RTCG said law enforcement was conducting an operation targeting people suspected of links to the Rybar network. The local media reports did not provide information about formal charges or specific allegations against those detained.
Earlier, a source familiar with the Zvinchuk family told RIA Novosti that the couple were not answering calls or messages. RIA Novosti’s report did not include official confirmation of their detention.
