Napoli reach century of wins in UEFA club competitions

Napoli’s 4-3 victory over Bodo/Glimt was their 100th win in UEFA club competitions. The Champions League league-phase match was played in Naples on October 20.

UEFA had noted before kickoff that Napoli needed another victory to reach the milestone. The total covers the organisation’s club competitions collectively, rather than the Champions League alone.

Matteo Politano scored after 53 seconds. Scott McTominay struck twice, including in the 75th minute, and visiting defender Odin Bjortuft scored an own goal. Jens Petter Hauge, Andreas Helmersen and Sondre Brunstad Fet scored for the Norwegian side.

Napoli ended a five-game winless run in the Champions League comprising a draw and four defeats. It was their first victory in the competition in the 2026-27 season.
