New 800-place school near Moscow's Bolshoy Angarsky Pond welcomes pupils

A new school on Dmitrovskoye Highway in Moscow's Dmitrovsky district has begun operating, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
The four-storey building covers nearly 14 thousand square metres and was built under a large-scale investment project. It has welcomed its first pupils this year, according to the mayor's October 13 announcement.
Facilities include an IT practice area, research laboratories and a media library. Dedicated spaces support sport and creative activities. Those details describe the building's facilities rather than enrolment in particular classes.
The site has a circular access route for fire engines. Ramps and anti-slip surfaces were installed for pupils with limited mobility, alongside lawns and shrubs.
A Podolsk supplier provided the windows, while steel structures came from St Petersburg. Sobyanin said five education facilities have been added in Dmitrovsky district since 2011, including this school.
