Nikitin says funding allocated to repair small airports

Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Nikitin said funding has been allocated to repair small airports in Russia's North and Far East that have long gone without renovation. He was speaking to Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Nikitin cited an airfield in the Far East that, he said, was last repaired in 1942. He said Mikhail Mishustin backed placing that facility among the first to be renovated.

Nikitin was appointed deputy prime minister on October 22, 2026. Dmitry Yadrov succeeded him at the Transport Ministry.
