Nine injured in strike on Kaluga Region, governor says

Five of the injured were hospitalized and are in stable condition, Governor Vladislav Shapsha said. Private homes were also damaged in two municipal districts.

Shapsha reported the casualties on his channel on the Max platform. He said nine people were wounded and five were taken to hospital. Their condition was stable, according to the governor.

He also reported damage to private homes in two municipal districts. Russian forces intercepted 26 Ukrainian drones overnight over the Maloyaroslavetsky, Peremyshlsky and Ferzikovsky districts and the city of Kaluga, Shapsha said.

The governor’s post linked the casualty and damage reports to a strike on the region. He separately reported the drone interceptions but did not say whether they were connected to the damage to the homes.
