Ottawa extends coach Travis Green’s contract through 2030–31

The Ottawa Senators have extended head coach Travis Green’s contract through the end of the 2030–31 season, the NHL club announced.

Several members of his coaching staff also received extensions. General manager Steve Staios said management and the coach shared a vision for developing the team.

Green took charge in May 2024. Ottawa reached the playoffs in both seasons under him and was eliminated in the opening round each time.

The Senators have 12 points after nine games this season, placing them third in the Atlantic Division.
