Over 900,000 Muscovites complete online stage of city checkup programme

More than 900,000 Moscow residents have completed the first online stage of the Moscow Checkup programme, Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova said. Over 260,000 participants were aged 18 to 34.

Rakova said insufficient physical activity and an unbalanced diet were the most common risk factors among younger participants. The figures concern people taking part in the programme and do not describe all young Moscow residents.

The first stage takes place in the EMIAS.INFO application. Users complete a questionnaire about their wellbeing and lifestyle, with additional questionnaires where needed. The system compares the answers with electronic medical records, taking previous investigations and identified risks into account.

It then produces an individual list of tests and examinations. Completing the questionnaire does not mean a person has already undergone every listed investigation. Rakova said the programme was available to adult Moscow residents registered with city clinics.
