Siluanov says diesel exports would benefit Russia's budget through company taxes

Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on October 13 that diesel exports would bring companies foreign-currency revenue and support Russia's balance of payments. He said the budget would benefit through taxes paid by the exporters.
Asked about budget revenue, the minister said there are no export duties on diesel. Export receipts would instead feed into companies' financial results and the taxes they pay to the budget system. He did not give an estimate of the expected tax proceeds in the reported remarks.
The comments concern arrangements to resume Russian diesel deliveries to American and global markets. U.S. President Donald Trump announced those arrangements on October 9. RBC reported that the U.S. sanctions relief for the supplies runs until April 2027.
Siluanov's assessment describes the expected benefits of exports for companies and the state. It does not provide figures for revenue already received or taxes already collected.
