Ozon to charge pickup-point operators from December 1

Ozon will begin charging operators of its order pickup points from December 1. Locations that have been operating for less than a year will pay one ruble, the marketplace's press office told RBC.

The company said the charge would not exceed 1% of an operator's remuneration for orders. Ozon attributed the change to the need for payment for agency services under its agreements with partners.

Frank Media also obtained confirmation from the press office that the charge would be monthly and would depend on how long a pickup point had been operating.

The marketplace previously expanded the role of pickup points. Since September 10, they have sold goods that customers failed to collect within two weeks or cancelled. From October, sellers can bring goods directly to pickup points for storage and pay the operators directly.
