Primorye woman held in custody in treason case
A 22-year-old woman from Bolshoy Kamen has been remanded in custody in a treason case, the Primorye regional government's press service said.
The regional Federal Security Service alleges that she made contact with a Ukrainian intelligence representative through a messaging app and was paid to provide information about Primorye railway infrastructure, including relay cabinets and energy substations.
Regional authorities said the woman had admitted guilt, given testimony and was cooperating with investigators.
The FSB said treason carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
