Report: Turkish Airlines passenger removed after boarding-pass alteration

A passenger on an Istanbul–Izmir flight was removed after attempting to occupy a business-class seat with an altered boarding pass, HavaSosyalMedya reported on October 15. The outlet said artificial intelligence had been used to change the seat number.
According to the outlet, the passenger on flight TK2326 held an economy seat in row twenty-three but presented a mobile boarding pass showing row four and settled in business class.
Ground staff began checking when passenger totals did not match the cabin allocations. The outlet said the aircraft returned to its parking position after the alteration was detected and the passenger was taken off.
An unruly-passenger report was completed. HavaSosyalMedya also reported an expected airline ban and possible legal proceedings over the altered document.
