Rico Verhoeven says he accepted offer to face Deontay Wilder

Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven said he accepted an offer to box Deontay Wilder on December 11. Agreement from the American's side and the fight's terms remain unconfirmed.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Verhoeven said he had been offered a place against the former world champion on the undercard of Tyson Fury's fight with Anthony Joshua. He agreed but stressed that details still needed to be discussed.
Verhoeven spent most of his career in kickboxing and held GLORY's heavyweight title for many years. In May 2026, he boxed Oleksandr Usyk and lost after the fight was stopped in the eleventh round.
Verhoeven said he was awaiting a response from Wilder's team. Organizers have not officially announced their bout.
