Rosatom says its Bushehr nuclear plant team has grown to 135
Rosatom's engineering and technical staff at Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant now number 135, chief executive Alexei Likhachev said on October 11.
He said another nine employees arrived at the site on October 10 to participate in scheduled preventive maintenance at operating unit 1.
The Russian specialists work across all three facilities at the plant, Likhachev explained: one operating reactor unit and two under construction. The staffing figure therefore covers the whole site, rather than only the maintenance team at the first unit.
Likhachev linked the increase to Rosatom's contractual obligations. His announcement concerned the arrival of personnel and their work across the site, rather than the completion of maintenance or commissioning of the new units.
