Rossotrudnichestvo plans more targeted foreign student admissions in 2027

Rossotrudnichestvo plans to give Russia's government quota for foreign students a stronger targeted focus in 2027, the agency told Vedomosti.

Priorities will take account of Russia's political and partnership ties with other countries and their economies' needs for particular types of specialists, the agency said.

The planned changes also cover support for applicants. Rossotrudnichestvo wants to help them choose their educational path rather than limit assistance to submitting documents.

Preparatory programmes, career guidance and advice on choosing a subject and university will play a greater role. Information support is planned at different stages of the admissions process.
