Rubio says US is discussing Ukrainian access to Starshield

The United States is discussing possible Ukrainian access to the military satellite system Starshield, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

Speaking to reporters before leaving for Uzbekistan, Rubio said Washington was examining how Kyiv wanted to use the system. He said Ukraine had requested access for long-range strikes inside Russia.

Rubio stressed that Starshield was a military system, distinct from Starlink. He also said Ukraine did not currently have access to it.
