Russia and Belarus cleared to enter 2027 Winter European Youth Olympic Festival

The European Olympic Committees (EOC) has approved the participation of Russian and Belarusian teams at the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival in Brașov, Romania, scheduled for February 14–21, 2027.
The Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee said the EOC Executive Committee made the decision at a meeting in Split, Croatia, on October 8. The EOC’s conditions place the teams under the auspices of the Russian Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
Only the logo of the relevant national Olympic committee may appear on athletes’ kit. The teams will compete under the EOC flag, and medal ceremonies will use the anthem played by the International Olympic Committee at the Paris 2024 Games.
The Winter European Youth Olympic Festival is due to take place in Brașov from February 14 to 21, 2027.
