Russia plans additional 3.3% insurance-pension increase from April 2027

Russia plans to increase the insurance component of pensions by an additional 3.3% from April 1, 2027, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said. She said the figure remains preliminary and will be recalculated after 2026 based on actual growth in the wage fund.
The second adjustment is intended to reflect wage growth in the preceding period. The 3.3% figure is therefore not a final decision on the size of the increase. The Labour Ministry has previously outlined two insurance-pension adjustments for 2027: 6.8% from February 1 and a further 3.3% from April 1.
