Four killed in car-truck collision in India's Karnataka state

A car and a truck collided near Amaragol village in Dharwad district, police said.
The crash occurred on October 9 in Navalgund taluk, Karnataka. All four people in the car died at the scene: Ajith, 32, Rakesh, 22, Sandeep, 33, and Shruti, 28.
Preliminary information indicates that the car collided head-on with an oncoming truck. The impact mangled the front of the car. Navalgund police visited the scene and moved the bodies to a hospital.
Police registered a case and are investigating the circumstances of the crash. The Hindu did not report other casualties.
Police have not given a suspected cause for the collision. The Hindu said further details were still awaited.
