Russia plans to include Zaporizhzhia in wine industry support programme
Russia plans to include Zaporizhzhia region in its federal wine industry development programme from 2027, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said at an industry forum in Gelendzhik.
The programme provides subsidies for planting vineyards and maintaining them. The draft 2027 budget allocates approximately 3 billion roubles to those activities.
The figure covers industry support under the federal programme rather than an allocation solely for Zaporizhzhia. Patrushev outlined the plans at the fifth Russian Wine Forum, taking place from October 21 to 23.
