Russia plans 20.4 billion rubles for remote fuel deliveries in 2027–2029
Russia's proposed funding for its Energy Development programme includes 20.4 billion rubles to subsidise petroleum product deliveries to remote parts of Siberia and the Far East in 2027–2029.
Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev presented the programme's funding parameters to the State Duma's budget and tax committee, Interfax reported, citing the Energy Ministry.
Total funding is planned at 106.8 billion rubles over the period. The proposed annual amounts are 39.4 billion rubles for 2027, 33.1 billion rubles for 2028 and 34.3 billion rubles for 2029.
Diversifying energy exports would receive 20.9 billion rubles. About 13 billion rubles is planned for closing particularly unprofitable mines and open pits and providing social benefits, including free coal allowances.
The ministry's technology priorities include geothermal power in Kamchatka and the Southern Kurils and the Energy at Home programme, which provides for solar panels, an inverter and a storage unit.
