Russia registered 14 Atom electric cars in September
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said the Russian model is in demand. Avtostat data cited by Vedomosti show 54 cars registered since sales began.
Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said the Atom electric car was in demand at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes. He said resources had been allocated for production and that the domestic model went on sale in 2026.
Avtostat director Sergei Tselikov said on October 9 that 14 Atom electric cars were sold in Russia in September and that 54 had been sold since production began. Vedomosti, also citing Tselikov’s data, specified that the figures reflect vehicle registrations: 14 cars were registered in September and 54 since sales began.
Atom is made by Kama at the Moskvich plant. The first production vehicles were delivered to customers in mid-July 2026. In September, the company announced the start of mass production at the plant.
The figures provide a numerical reference for the minister’s statement about demand, but they do not reveal the company’s sales target, number of orders or production capacity. The different wording in the reports also makes it important to distinguish sales figures from vehicle registrations.
