Police detained the 29-year-old entrepreneur over allegations that he threatened and extorted two former business partners. His lawyer says he has not seen the case file and denies any link between his client and the PCC.
CNN Brasil and UOL reported that officers from São Paulo’s anti-kidnapping unit carried out the arrest. Investigators suspect Spalone of pressuring two entrepreneurs who had partnered with him in a technology and transportation business. UOL reported that a court in Osasco authorized the arrest.
Spalone has more than 700,000 social-media followers. He describes himself as an investor and entrepreneur, and his profile says he lives in Dubai. He owns the fintech companies Dubai Cash and Next Trading Dubai.
CNN Brasil reported that investigators say Spalone claimed to be a member of the PCC, a criminal organization. His defense denies that. His lawyer said he has not yet seen the sealed case file and plans to seek Spalone’s release at a custody hearing. CNN Brasil said it had requested comment from São Paulo’s public security department.
This is not the first investigation involving Spalone. In September 2025, he became a target of an investigation into the alleged diversion of 146 million reais through Pix transfers. A São Paulo court granted him provisional release in February 2026.
