Trump says midterm election spending will exceed $400 million

Donald Trump said spending to support Republicans would exceed $400 million by the day of the midterm elections.

In a Truth Social post, the US president said more than $300 million had already been spent. He listed advertising, voter outreach, rallies, filming and election integrity initiatives.

Trump attributed the spending to his support for the Republican Party’s policies and principles.
