Two crew members die in Saudi AH-6i helicopter crash
An AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter crashed in Saudi Arabia’s Najran region, killing both crew members, Saudi-led coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said.
He attributed the crash to a technical malfunction. The aircraft went down inside Saudi territory controlled by the Ministry of National Guard.
Najran lies in the kingdom’s southwest near the border with Yemen. Tensions remain high in the region amid Houthi attacks.
Al-Maliki offered condolences to the victims’ families.
