UFC Edmonton matches record with 12 finishes

UFC Fight Night 291 in Edmonton produced 12 finishes, matching the record set in Belgrade in August, the promotion said.

Canadian Mike Malott knocked out American Joaquin Buckley in the second round of the main event. Malott landed a knee to Buckley's jaw before following up with strikes.

The event took place in Canada on October 17. Malott's stoppage in the closing bout brought Edmonton level with the Belgrade card for the total number of fights ending without a judges' decision.

UFC Fight Night 283 in Belgrade also featured 12 finishes. Of those bouts at the August event, 10 ended in the opening round.
