Vitória thrashed Chapecoense 4-0 in Brazil's 29th-round league match. Striker Erick and midfielder Matheuzinho scored twice each.
The match was played at Barradão in Salvador on October 7. Vitória controlled the game from the start, but scored three of its four goals after halftime.
Erick opened the scoring and added another after the break. Matheuzinho also scored twice in the second half. The win lifted Vitória to 36 points and 12th place in the table.
Chapecoense could not respond and remained bottom with 18 points. The game was part of the 29th round of Brazil's Série A.
