VkusVill sends new Carbonara batch for testing after watchdog notice

VkusVill said it had sent a new batch of creamy Carbonara pasta for independent laboratory testing following a notice from Russia’s consumer watchdog. The retailer also plans an additional audit of its supplier’s production site.
Company representative Yelena Tarasenko told RBC that the watchdog’s inspection concerned a batch dated September 30, 2026. Violations were identified in products at a store on First Vladimirskaya Street in Moscow.
The retailer asked manufacturer TD NM LLC to confirm corrective measures. According to the company, the supplier carried out unscheduled sanitation with laboratory checks, briefed employees and strengthened oversight of hygiene and temperature conditions.
A new batch was also submitted for repeat testing. VkusVill promised to publish results once received. No new laboratory findings were available in that statement, so it does not establish that product safety has already been confirmed.
