Volga car registrations exceed one thousand in September

Russia registered 1039 Volga cars in September, according to Autostat head Sergey Tselikov. Cumulative registrations of the revived brand reached 2226 vehicles following the launch of sales on June 19.

The K50 crossover accounted for the largest cumulative total, with 1160 registrations. The K40 crossover recorded 874, while the C50 sedan had 192. Together, the three model totals match the brand’s overall figure.

August registrations stood at 608 vehicles, according to other automotive outlets reporting Tselikov’s statistics. September’s total therefore represents an increase of roughly 71%. The 41% figure given by Lenta.ru does not match a comparison of those two monthly totals.

The cars are manufactured in Nizhny Novgorod. Full-cycle production includes welding, painting and assembly. The K50, K40 and C50 are based on the Geely Monjaro, Atlas and Preface respectively.

Tselikov described the early sales trajectory as reasonable and gave a preliminary assessment that the brand’s market launch had been successful.
