Witkoff tells Putin Oslo talks laid groundwork for a Ukraine ceasefire
Steve Witkoff told Vladimir Putin that talks with Ukrainian and European representatives had created groundwork for reaching a ceasefire in Ukraine.
The US presidential envoy described the Oslo discussions as productive. He gave that assessment during talks with the Russian president at Konstantinovsky Palace in St Petersburg, Interfax reported.
Witkoff also said he had brought documents setting out approaches to resolving the conflict. He suggested Putin review them later, according to RIA Novosti.
