WSJ reports roof collapse after missile strike on Riyadh airport
Part of the roof at Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport collapsed onto people after a missile strike, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing Saudi officials. RIA Novosti relayed the account.
The newspaper said missiles hit terminals 3 and 4 and caused substantial damage. Helicopters were used to evacuate wounded people. The report gave no separate casualty figure for the roof collapse.
Associated Press also reported a missile hit the complex housing domestic terminals 3 and 4, citing a regional official. The details concern the October 10 attack previously reported by Saudi aviation authorities.
Authorities reported 12 deaths and more than 300 injuries from the attack as a whole. Airport operations were suspended. The reported roof damage does not establish a timetable for reopening the terminals.
