Yamal pays marriage anniversary benefits to 330 couples this year
A total of 330 married couples in Russia's Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area have received anniversary payments since the start of the year, the regional government's press service said on October 19.
The support is available to couples celebrating 50, 55, 60, 65 or 70 years of marriage. More than 2.1 thousand families have received payments during the programme's six years of operation.
Applications can be submitted to social protection offices, multifunctional public service centres or through the Gosuslugi portal. Couples can apply from their anniversary date and during the following six months.
The money is transferred to the account of either spouse. The regional government said there were no restrictions on how recipients could spend it.
