Yandex disputes report that data centres lacked insurance when attacked

Yandex says its insurance policies cover terrorist attacks, disputing a report that part of its infrastructure lacked coverage when its data centres were attacked. The company issued its response to RBC.
Yandex's press office said the company uses several forms of insurance to protect its assets and manage risks. It described the report about uninsured infrastructure as inaccurate.
The response followed a Vedomosti article citing sources who said some infrastructure had been insured with Sogaz and Ingosstrakh. According to that report, coverage for terrorist risks had not been extended before the attacks.
In its response to RBC on October 16, Yandex declined to disclose the details of its insurance coverage or the terms of its contracts.
