Yaroslavl companies launch KVN league with ten teams

Companies in Yaroslavl Region have signed agreements to establish a KVN comedy league for employees. Organizers plan to start with ten teams and hold its first festival on December 8.

The agreements were signed on October 9 during the regional Industry Week, which runs from October 5 to 11. The regional government said Governor Mikhail Evraev and company executives signed the documents. Participants include Avtodizel, Slavneft-YANOS, Yaroslavsky Broiler, YarKamp, Aronap and PoliER.

The regional Youth Palace and the Yaroslavsky KVN movement will organize the league. Experienced players will help employees prepare performances. Evraev said the project would give young workers an opportunity to develop their creative abilities while helping companies present their teams and attract employees.

The regional government said its KVN projects attract around 2,000 children, teenagers and students annually, with an audience of approximately 10,000. Tutayev and Rybinsk have their own leagues, and regional teams also compete at the national level.

Deputy regional government chair Vera Dargel said the movement visited nine districts in 2026 with support from the Youth and Children national project. She said the variety and scale of events had helped Yaroslavsky KVN enter the international KVN union's top five leagues.
