Yulia Kuchera seeks compensation over posts about fatal dog attack

Yulia Kuchera filed a lawsuit seeking 500,000 rubles in compensation over social media posts about a dog attack that killed a Pomeranian, the Moscow City Court press service told RIA Novosti on Oct. 13.

Kuchera, wife of television presenter Oskar Kuchera, asks for the disputed information to be declared untrue and for the defendants to publish retractions. Her allegations concern the stated causes and circumstances of the conflict.

The incident occurred at a hotel in the Tver region in August. Kuchera’s American bully grabbed Tatyana Romanova’s Pomeranian, which died while being taken to a veterinary clinic.

The women gave different accounts on social media. Kuchera acknowledged walking her dog without a muzzle but disputed Romanova’s description of how the incident unfolded.

The newly reported claim concerns those publications. The filing does not establish that Romanova’s statements were false or that the requested compensation has been awarded.
