Aegean flight reaches Frankfurt after emergency diversion to Munich

An Aegean Airlines flight from Thessaloniki to Frankfurt reached its destination after sending emergency code 7700 and diverting to Munich on October 13, German public broadcaster Hessenschau reported.
Flight A3532, operated by an Airbus A320, landed in Munich at 7:13 p.m. local time. Its scheduled arrival in Frankfurt had been 7:25 p.m. The aircraft later resumed its journey and arrived in Frankfurt shortly before 9 p.m.
Aegean told Hessenschau that the reason for the diversion did not lie with the aircraft itself. The airline had not provided a more detailed explanation by late evening.
Earlier, RIA Novosti reported the emergency signal while the flight was still over Germany. Code 7700 indicates a general emergency but does not identify its cause. The available reports did not establish a technical failure or disclose how many passengers were on board.
