Aeroflot and Rossiya warn of flight changes on October 17

Aeroflot and Rossiya announced delays and cancellations affecting some October 17 flights because of temporary restrictions at Moscow-area airports.
Aeroflot said some aircraft had been diverted to alternate airports. Russia's aviation authority had earlier announced restrictions on arrivals and departures at Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky.
Flights from alternate airports are expected to operate after the restrictions are lifted. The airline warned that departures could be delayed further if crews need rest.
Passengers were asked to check their flight status on the online departure board or through the website's booking management section before travelling. The carrier advised passengers whose flights are cancelled not to come to the airport.
Aeroflot said its ground services and representative offices were working at increased capacity. Passengers waiting to depart would receive assistance under Russia's federal aviation rules, the company said.
